About Us
Moto Adventure Tasmania was created in 2007 by Ian Sylvester and Gary Myors following rides to Mexico and the USA by motorcyle. We met many riders traveling the world by motorcycle and decided we wanted to share our home of Tasmania with other adventurous souls.

Ian Sylvester
Ian loves bikes, he has ridden motorcycles hundreds of thousands of kilometers since 1968. He has done trips around Australia, the UK, Europe, USA and Mexico by BMW. He has competed in motorcycle and car racing in Tasmania including competing in Targa Tasmania tarmac classic car rally over 10 years.

Seeking a peaceful and beautiful place to live, Ian moved to from Sydney to Tasmania in 1980. After raising a family, he is now passionate about sharing Tasmania with adventurous visitors. Ian is an accredited Advanced driver, certified Motorcycle learner instructor trained by Tasmania Police , an accredited hire vehicle operator and holds a first aid certificate from St Johns ambulance.



Gary Myors
Gary has been riding motorcycles since the early 70’s. The early years were spent competing in enduro’s in Queensland, NSW and Tasmania. Recently he has been touring in the USA.

He served in the Australian Navy during the Vietnam War, His life since has been spent providing adventure tourism activities throughout Australia and Tasmania.

He has owned and operated a skydiving business, represented Australia internationally. In 2000 Gary was awarded the Australian Sport Medal for his services to skydiving. For the last 16 years he has been the force behind a highly successful scuba diving business, Eaglehawk Dive Centre, (www.eaglehawkdive.com.au) guiding divers from all corners of the world. Gary is extremely focused on providing a safe, fun adventure for our visitors.
