Moto Adventure has taken delivery of a brand new Triumph Tiger 800.

Our bike is equipped with Triumph Hard Panniers, centre stand,top box, heated grips and most importantly ABS.

This is the more road oriented version of the Tiger 800, this bike has a beautiful, torquey three cylinder motor. Tuned for economy and low down grunt. It is an ideal bike for touring Tasmania’s bumpy, winding roads.

Triumph have thought about the seat on this bike, which should make it a comfortable perch for long days in the saddle. Softish long travel suspension to cope with the many uneven surfaces will add to the comfort.

ABS braking will help you if the stopping gets tough!

Client Brian recently rode a ‘lap of Tassie’ with his mate who was riding a BMW R1200R. Brian has been kind enough to share his thoughts about the little motorcycling jewel.

As promised, a few comments on the superb Honda CB400 I hired over last weekend.

As a Hayabusa rider, I was somewhat apprehensive about hiring the small Honda CB400. However my concern was unnecessary as the bike is ideal for Tasmanian road conditions. The Honda CB400 is quick, sure footed, has fantastic ABS brakes and was a joy to ride over the 1200kms on your superb winding mountain roads.

The heated hand grips proved a real bonus during our five day trip in May. I would recommend this model to any enthusiastic road rider who is wanting to do some quick solo miles around your wonderful island. Thanks for your help, I thoroughly enjoyed the days I hired the bike and I will certainly be hiring it again in the future.

We are at the Henry Jones IXL hotel end. The other side of the waterfront from Salamanca Place.

Our clients no longer need to negotiate the challenging driveway which was often the first and hardest challenge on their Tassie Adventure.

BMW R1200GS

We have ordered two of the new DOHC R1200GS’s, a red one and a black one.These will be delivered in September 2010. The bikes on order will be ‘fully loaded’ with BMW panniers, ABS, Traction control, Tyre pressure indicator and on board computer.

We are really looking forward to these new bikes. They have a little more power, but mostly the new motor has even stronger low down pulling power than the single cam model. We will now have 4 BMW R1200GS’s for 10/11.

Suzuki V Strom 650

This bike has recieved many positive reviews over the last several years. The V-Strom is a favourite amongst long distance travellers all over the world. It is a good sized, all-purpose bike with a comfortable seat, plenty of leg room and a generous adjustable screen. The Suzuki Vee twin motor has been around since Adam was a boy, and is one of the most robust and reliable motors available. This will be a fantastic bike for one or two people to discover Tasmania.

 We have ordered a brand new one. We will now have two matching versions of the smallest BMW’s. Having two bikes available make it perfect for couples or a couple of mates, who wish to explore Tasmania together, but apart!!

Honda CB400

Our Honda is Red, tricolour. The paint is magnificent.  The 400cc 4 cylinder motor, has plenty of power, and would have no difficulty keeping up with larger bikes in all but the most illegal situations. The seat is low to the ground, and the bike is very light, making it a very easy package to handle.

Our bike will be equipped with Ventura rack and 35 litre bag. It has Honda combined braking system and ABS on the powerful triple disk setup. We are looking forward to delivery in November 2010.

We promised a very nice DVD set of Charlie and Ewan’s excellent adventures.

These engaging fellows have done a wonderful job of publicising the many virtues of the BMW R1200GS. They have helped the big GS become BMW’s biggest selling motorcycle.
